Re: win a 1 year lease of a Lexus HS 250h or 1 week test drive :)
FWIW, after they whittled thru a bunch of people (who presumably didn't return their paperwork in time or didn't qualify), I did end up winning a one week test drive with 15 votes. I don't know how many the person w/the most votes got (to get one of the one year leases) but IIRC, Wayne Gerdes had 350+ votes and it wasn't enough.
I picked up the car today and so far I like it but there few things I don't like. The car feels very solid, more so than my 06 Prius. The extra power is noticeable and helpful. The car's definitely quieter and a bit softer in ride than my Prius (but not to the point where it's way too soft). I like the heated seats and improvements to the nav system over the one in my Prius. It's interesting there are a ton of user configurable options relating vehicle itself such as auto locking and unlocking of the door behavior. All the chimes are more of gentle sound instead of the steady single-pitched beeps in my Prius.
I'm not sure I like the mouse-like controller for the nav system. The jury's still out for me on that. It would've been better if they included the mouse-like controller but still had the touch screen. I was surprised that my car has only halogen headlights and no standard HIDs. (LEDs are an option) My former 02 Nissan Maxima GXE (lowest trim) had standard HIDs and it was standard on all 02-03 Maximas. I really wish there were an Info button somewhere on the steering wheel or dash. It's several steps to get to the consumption history and power flow display. I miss the temp controls on the steering wheel but I guess they had to leave them out due to the dual zone climate control.
I wasn't given an owner's manual so I'm not sure what a few buttons do and am unclear about some of the trip computer behavior.
