I knew the numbers would tilt toward the higher age groups, but it's a little sad to confirm - I guess I was hoping (as we all should) that there are a fair amount of hybrid owners out there towards us youngens, as a sort of trend that we have a youth movement focused on conservation of resources and preservation of our Earth. Then of course there's the issue of that silly money thing, and truth be told it's rough for the average 22 year-old to commit to the purchase of a new car when they're deep in the throes of college loans and the search for gainful employment as it is. So maybe the poll is turning out promisingly.

With used hybrids now getting affordable-ish we may see more younger users as they get passed off for newer models.

Some of us are just slow. I bought my first (very used) car aged 28, although I was sure I would never own one. One promise to myself has been kept so far, though: each succesive buy would be as close to 50% cleaner, and 50% better FE than the predecessor as I could manage.
