Good points spinner.

The reason why I mentioned the FIT with an MT is because that happens to be the best configuration for reaching and exceeding the 50MPG's (4.7 L/100km) with a good assortment of hypermiling techniques. The FIT with Auto is an absolute under-performer and not the best tool for today's hypermiler at all...

On a side note, our gas here in Winnipeg as been at $1.20 and even over for a few weeks already. I don't know if you folks have had it at those levels either.

We're really close to $1.20 at the moment. Another note about Toronto gas is that regular grade -- 87 octane/91 RON -- is blended with up to 10% ethanol, reducing efficiency somewhat.
