37 mpg from a Ranger!!
Yes, Wayne is our allstar. I think his most impressive number is the 37 mpg he gets while driving a Ford Ranger -which I think is a business truck, so he can't "nurse" it much. A normal 4 cyl Ranger with a normal driver will get about 16 mpg city and maybe 22 mpg Hy.There just isn't anything exceptional about the Ranger's motor or aerodynamics. It probably hasn't changed a heck of a lot in the last 10 years. It is a bit smaller than the rest of the current small trucks(really midsized trucks now-Tacoma,Frontier).
He is a hypermiling genius.
Luck,
Charlie
