Default Why the Clem Engine?

Apart from Zero Point Energy claims, a steam hydraulic turbine as described, the Richard Clem Engine may offer some unique atributes. Low pressure steam generated inside the engine from heated oil. The heat is generated by turbulent motion of the viscous ISO460 synthetic oil and additional heat from a HHO gas combustor "Sand Burner" or ceramic combustor to maintain a constant 320 - 350 degree F temperature. Water is injected in metered amounts to produce a low volume of low pressure steam head inside an incompressable fluid. Further Richard Clem Engine details available on the Google Search Engine.

My name is Michael Himes and I am a retired Boeing Co. experimental technician. The adaptation of an asphalt emulsifier to a steam hydraulic motor caught my attention as I ran the parameters through a feasability study. With added boundary layer laminar flow concentric cones to modify the turbulent viscous boundary layer area as well as additional nozzles this combined cycle OCR will out perform any other steam engine in horse power (torque) to weight. An ideal mate for say a symetron electric motor generator and CVT for automotive applications.

I invite coment from skeptics of steam automotive power applications.

Default Re: Why the Clem Engine?

The Clem engine design does not use steam for its energy, but rather an excess of energy from centrifugal over pressure. The heat is generated by compressing the oil to thousands of lbs PSI, before it is ejected from the nozzles. I can send you an Excel spread sheet of the forces involved if you are interested.
