Default 300,000

Turned 300,000 today. Need about 50,000 more and we can both retire! WooHoo. The FEH should have been named GLC, aka Great Little Car!

For reference here's:

Good report! Hearing stuff like this makes me want to keep my FEH longer than the 90k on it now. Just wish it had more power on the highway.

Picked up a clunk in the rear. It's not the right shock or rear suspension carrier issues. No effect on tire wear pattern either. Schwab and Midas couldn't find anything. They liked the FEH though for the sound condition and miles. Will just have to keep looking for the noise. I love this rig.

Valve cover gasket. The links in the above post are for reference, mine mostly so I don't forget something! Check them out if you want.

We live out of town so any drive to town is half hour to one or 45 minutes to the other. The vehicle always gets up to op temps and stop and go driving is only in town, a small fraction of the miles. Probably helps.

i read through your links - cool.
when you replaced the mech water pump, did you replace the belt tensioner?

i guess the spark plug tube seal were packaged with the valve cover gasket - and you also replaced them also, correct?

i left my 09 sit too long - now the main battery is low;
have a P0A1F code;
working on recharging

Sorry for the delayed reply. I seem to recall replacing the idler on the FEH but it's not written down in my repair log. Might have been the F150 instead and I dont have the records for it anymore. Nancy offered $4500 for so I had to take it. The MEC pump was replaced at 171,872 miles but no idler replacement logged at the time. The valve cover gasket at 235,500 miles, yes sir there were tube seals with the kit, Felpro.

I gotta figure out the clunk in the rear end. It's ticking me off and I want to keep this thing alive till 400k now.

Steve, is your HV battery the original? Have you noticed it degrade over time?
