Drafting

Re: Drafting
A semi pulling a flat bed is my favorite draft set up. Find one that holds a constant speed between 60-70mph and your in business with just two car links behind. You have better vision on both sides with a great draft of as much as 50% better MPG.
If you don't want to reset the 15 minute average to tell how good a draft is, use your hand and feel the air pressure. This is what I do... Roll the driver window down at 60 + mph. Hold your hand open and feel the wind pressure against it. Now move your hand behind the rearview mirror and feel what your FEH feels behind an object during a good draft. Now, try this same test while drafting. A good draft will reduce the presure on your hand without going behind the mirror. I think this test is very HANDY in determining a good draft for me anyway. A gusty unequal pressure tells me to find another draft partner ASAP.
