Default Humerous

So I dropped off my 2008 FEH this morning to get a scheduled oil change, and to check the A/C which doesn't seem to be blowing as cold as it should.

A couple of hours later I got what is obviously a computer generated email offering to pay top dollar for my FEH so I could get a 2013 Escape Hybrid. If only...

"...
You may have received this email before, but I am writing you again because the opportunity has improved and time is of the essence.

You are once of a few select Galpin customers that we believe can drive a brand new 2013 Ford Escape Hybrid while lowering your monthly payments, with little to no cash out of pocket!

My records show that you are driving a 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid. This is a great vehicle and the resale value is stronger than anticipated because of the economic downturn. Let me explain, the downturn created a shortage for late model used vehicles because of lower new vehicle sales over the past few years. Combined with the higher resale value of your Escape Hybrid, today's historically low interest rates and high new vehicle incentives, you may have a very unique opportunity to drive a new 2013 Ford Escape Hybrid at a lower monthly cost with little to no cash from you. Even better, you may drive an upgraded vehicle and benefit from the higher fuel efficiencies & lower maintenance cost associated with a new vehicle.

Even if you have some excess mileage or damage, you may still qualify to drive a new vehicle with no cash out of pocket. This is a private offer and not transferable. Hurry in, because this offer definitely ends June 30, 2013."

Well, I don't really follow other forums. Do you mean that others have been offered the chance to upgrade to the 2013 Escape Hybrid?

And now everyone on only this forum can enjoy the story...

Pretty funny considering there is no such thing as a 2013 Escape Hybrid!

Just an update. The compressor was weak, and they replaced it under warranty. They also found something wrong with the suspension, which invoked the rental car portion of my warranty. So I had a rental for the 4 days it took them to get to fixing it.

The A/C blows cold now. glad I got it done before the heat wave!
