If you dont need dont put them on.
My car is "supposed" to be released tomorrow on Saturday, I'll probably drive it off first, then returning it on Monday to have them removed. I can't wait!

Another way to look at the stepbars is an added "bumper" to both sides of your FEH along with the other added benefits they provide.

Man are you lucky!! When I went out to research the FEH, I found a very limited supply. I finally settled on a FEH without the NAV package because the vehicles I wanted were already sold, although I searched the Ford website the night before.
With only a limited number made in a year, you are fortunate to get what you wanted.
FYI: Even without the NAV package, which I was really settled on, I've loved my FEH. I found that I'm able to get great gas mileage with the basics. The one thing I miss is the onboard navigation. I'm glad you're able to get what you want with the limited FEH supply.

Yay, I got my FEH today!!!
I also had my first date with a smart and pretty girl today 2 hours after I drove the car off the dealership lot. We went for a short ride around town in the car after seeing Al Gore's "The Inconvenient Truth". How fitting haha..
ps. I kept the step bars in the end because they 1. act as extra "bumper" on each side of the car and 2. help when I need to load/unload items onto the roof-rack!
