Lighten up a bit and reread my post about who is to blame. Or, for amusement, read this:

I'm in the construction business. Maybe we should start using the elevator button for the lobby to send you to the 3rd floor, so you don't have to walk upstairs in case you forget to leave the elevator in the lobby and go all the way to the basement (these are strange elevators that only go one way). It's for your own good. People sometimes don't pay attention and get off at the wrong floor.

Maybe in some buildings it will send you to the 2nd floor, and other buildings the 4th. It will never send you to the lobby, that's for sure. We design them that way. You shouldn't assume a specific floor, and don't trust that display inside the elevator. That's probably one floor off from reality as well. When it stops at the wrong place, just try another button. We'll get you there eventually! Or if you don't trust us, that's why we put stairs in the building - you can always get to your destination. And in the next building over, your guess is as good as mine. Sounds like fun!

Inaccurate is inaccurate, and I said it was my fault for not making sure the tank was full. If you're the manufacturer, the MTE and gauge displays are inaccurate, and it's not your fault. And if your elevator doesn't stop at the right floor, it's not my fault.
