Second Failure on my 09 FEH

Second Failure on my 09 FEH
First one was the light bulb for the gear shift indicator. At about 27,000 miles now and the outside temp indicator on the dash is stuck and 50 degrees. Not a big deal but I think this might be effecting the AC as the temps seem to swing much more widely than before. The ECM may think it is cold outside when it is much warmer. All in all not bad for this complicated a vehicle.

Bill, are you sure it doesn't use the same sensor to determine when it's gonna do it's minimum 2500 rpm ridiculousness?
It's always at 92 degrees outside temp and up for me.
If it is that sensor, I want mine to go bad too!!!

There's no PCM input from the OAT. In fact, I think older FEH didn't even have a OAT.

Re: Second Failure on my 09 FEH
My '09 needs to go back in the shop. We had light rain today and I had 2 drips of water running down the glass on the inside back window, apparently from the window (not door) seal. Also want to get that new, quieter cross-member (TSB). Hopefully that takes care of the horrible engine noise in subzero temps. My other warranty work (when new) was a new master wiring harness for an airbag light.

This one? Attachment 1544
I was going to see if there was a TSB on the window seal, but didn't have time yet. I see no reason why it would leak with a light rain. A car wash leak I could see. I've had one of those before with a different vehicle, that was a loose roof rack bolt.

Re: Second Failure on my 09 FEH
But for sure the 09 is triggered by the oat. It could even be through the iat (intake air temp sensor,) but somehow outside air temp over 92 is triggering the over-rev condition. I was just wondering if fomoco happened to use the same sensor.

Yes, I believe you posted that one before, o/w I wouldn't have known about it. I still haven't contacted the stealership about it tho.

Biil, you are correct about the older models not doing the gas sucking over rev. Our 08 never did.
