Updated NAVTEQ CDs

Re: Updated NAVTEQ CDs
My dealer mentioned to me, when I asked about updates, that the only Nav disk updates they ever seen, were for the Navigator. Yes, they were free. Lincoln sent the dealer of box of them, and asked the dealer to distribute them to all the owners of Navigators they had sold.
However, being the FEH/MMH are the only CD based Nav systems Ford currently sells (right?), I am sure we are all the "forgotten step child". I doubt Ford will ever ask Navteq to ever bother to make a new set of CD disks.
For Nav disks, 2005 is pretty old.

BTW, Ford really needs something like this GM site...
http://www.GMnavdisc.com
"Beginning with the '06 MY, again, for those GM vehicles with the GM Navigation System (excluding Saab), we will be introducing a new Subscription program, where customers will receive two disc updates at no charge on their first and second anniversaries from the vehicle date of purchase."

Re: Updated NAVTEQ CDs
Following the links for the "HV battery cooling" thread, I also found these....
Visteon's Nav Radio (look familiar?)
Nav Radio Product Spec
Horizon Navigation Map Coverage (it looks like Horizon Navigation is more directly responsible for the map CD's, than Navteq???)

Re: Updated NAVTEQ CDs
still don't get why they wouldn't upgrade to the dvd based system like in the explorer...
I just purchased a 2007FEH, but hoping down the road there is some type of upgrade system to make it nicer but still get the battery gauge info...
