Re: add your data to www.fueleconomy.gov
I'm on there or at least I will be next Monday! Funny thing is on our database here I'm at 29.9 and on there I'm 30 even just the way they roundup?
Now I just have to get my mileage book out of my 2000 ZX2 once my brother doesn't need to borrow it anymore. I think I'm a lucky girl and both my vehicles will show 30+ MPG!

I added my Prius and my fiancee's HiHy (looks like hers will be the 1st 2WD Highlander). Had one oddball entry where 62.9 mpg become 60.3 using their math. :-/

Re: add your data to www.fueleconomy.gov
I was motivated by this post to add my car here and to the www.fueleconomy.gov site as well. I should say that prior to selling my house and moving close enough to walk to work, I would consistently get about 46.9 (computer calculated), and sometimes a bit lower. I had a house close enough to my office that I would sometimes bike, but in Dallas often it was just too hot for that.
Now that I no longer make that short commute, I've been beating the 48 mpg average economy on this site, so I figured I'd start contributing. In a way this is kind of cheating, but since I had such an atypical commute before, I didn't want to add my car. But as I think about it, now that I walk, I have a rather atypical commute as well. Anyway, off to www.fueleconomy.gov website.
As I read about people saying the numbers are really low there, I wonder if people are purposely making stuff up and putting them there. There should be a verification requirement or something.

OK, I added my first tank to the www.fueleconomy.gov database. Easy since I have the data here. But I'm the first 2006 FWD Escape Hybrid! Need some more '06 owners to post their tanks there so the model will show up in the database! Let's show everyone what the '06 FWD FEH is capable of!!
Fred
P.S. My next fill up coming in a few days!
