I have been swamped this week. I read it and will discuss with my wife. You are awesome for doing that. I took all your personal information off and forwarded the e-mail to the local dealer and they responded with a "go for it". They are certain they are going to make a killing with the few FFH's they get. My wife has family in So. Cal, and we have many friends down there as well. My wife was raised in Del Mar (Solana Beach) where her father had a law practice. My wife and I will have time this weekend together and I will discuss it with her and let you know early next week. Again, that was awesome... Thank you!

I got an offer of $1k off MSRP if I order soon. What do you think? According to my research that is $2k over invoice, plus they will get the holdback. I think I read a post from you and can no longer find it. Did you mention you ordered a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid for invoice price? If memory has not failed me, you said it was White Platinum with 502A. This is the exact vehicle I would love, but the dealers here are asking full sticker plus $1k. I did get a call back later today from a dealer that said they would be willing to take $1k off the full sticker and sell it for $32,900.00! Man, what state do you live in? Here in Utah they are not going for the invoice thing! I held out $1,000.00 cash right in front of the manager as a deposit and they said, "sorry, full sticker plus". Greedy, greedy, greedy! Supply and demand has been forced upon us by Ford's lack of vision and inability to supply hybrid batteries. Anyway, care to share your state and dealer? Make sure you have a contract because it sounds like many people might get a "bait and switch".
