I am considering buying a used 2008 GMC Yukon Hybrid with 115,000 miles on it. It will be a daily driver for my family and me. It has to be dependable. The reason I'm looking at this particular one is that there is a great deal on it- $17000. It seems that one with anything less than 100K miles costs 5-10K more, and I just don't have the money for that. I really need an SUV this large, and I really need the fuel economy. According to carfax, it was an Enterprise car, then a private owner.
I haven't found much regarding reliability beyond 100K miles. Can you help me?? Is buying this particular one a wise decision or a money pit??
Do you think this is something that you could help me out with? I heard back from the service writter. He thinks that they should fix everything because it is well within warranty time wise, and a couple hundred miles over on the warranty. Apparently the used car manager does not want to fix it. The service writer (Larry) said if someone from GM customer service called that he could get authorization to do the repair. Any help you could offer would be most appreciated.
