Sorry I did not notice your message! First one ever. When I purchased my Prius it had a bad smell in it and Toyota had some kind of compressed argon gas they set off in the car. They ran the car with windows all closed with air on full for 20 min. After this car had no smells. H

I saw that you had responded to a few posts about a Honda Civic Hybrid giving off some battery fumes. I was wondering if you have heard anymore about this? I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid and my wife was inundated with some kind of smell. I drove it and noticed erratic battery charging. The batteries stayed extremely low for a long time and then suddenly showed fully charged. Typically the batteries charge much quicker.
I dropped the car off at the dealership so I don't know anymore. I was wondering if you knew how these components worked? Is there always fumes that need to be vented and that there is a fan that does this? Could the batteries be dieing or possibly over heating?
We were pretty rattled by this and kind of expect the dealership not to find anything wrong. Any information that you may have would be most appreciated. I have not posted in a long time. I actually found your post in a google search and remembered that i had an account here.
Thanks in advance for any info that you may have.
