hello rick, everyone who has the first generation hybrids are having problems, and even the newer ones, go on other sights like honda hybrid problems and toyota hybrid problems,it's a nightmare and very expensive to repair when they are out of warranty,my 2006 toyota hh just got towed in for the 10th timeover the four yr i have owned the piece of crapp and it is just out of warranty,i got a bill for 14,000 dollars for two parts in the hybrid system and a 5,000 dollar labor charge.go to
www.odi.nhtsa.dot.gov sight anddo a formal complaint, this is the office of defects investigation within the nat highway transportation secretary office, with enough complaints maybe they will do something, there is a federal motor vehicles safty standards, code of federal regulations,a auto safety hotline,a large group aretry to get together and do a class action on these hybrids losing power while driving and people almost getting killed. You'll see as more and more people buy these hunk of junk there is going to be mass murders on the roads.Anyway if I owned a low mileage hybrid of any make or model and have continues problems with it,I would refuse to drive the carany more and demand the dealer take them back,if they won't,see an attorney
