Re: 2008 Vue Hybrid System Down Twice

Yikes!! I hope they can get it straightened out for you. If something like that happens gain, hit the Onstar button and have them tow it in, don't put your life at risk, not worth it!!

Re: What Gas Mileage Are You Getting With Your Vue?

If it weren't for all these hills around here, I could get better numbers, but so is life!! I'm plenty happy with my mileage!! At least I'm keeping more of my money instead of giving it to the oil...

Re: Voluntary Emission Recall

I got one, but I just had my hybrid battery replaced last month as it crashed just like the letter said, so I'm hoping I got that when they replaced mine.

Re: My Vue Hybrid battery bit the dust!!

No, they didn't, but I don't think I would drive the vehicle after a battery failure as the thing might leak and then you would some REAL damage on your hands. Best to get it in and leave it, seems...

Re: My Vue Hybrid battery bit the dust!!

I just got her back yesterday and was sure glad, too. They had me in an '08 4 cyl. Vue (not a hybrid) for a loaner and it sure wasn't the same. I didn't check the mileage on it, but it sure went thru...

My Vue Hybrid battery bit the dust!!

I was just driving along and everything was working just fine. Autostop was working, Charge/Assist was working and then....the check engine light came on!! Arrrgggghhh!! I was just a few miles from...

Re: Anyone notice the high MPG people are by display?

I'm running the Scanguage too and I just use it for a reference to keep my mileage up. Miles driven divided by gallons used = MPG,

Re: Who's had the harness installed?

My mileage seems to be dropping for whatever reason. Maybe I'm getting sloppy, not real sure. Still above 30 mpg, so that's still pretty darned good!!

Re: Who's had the harness installed?

OnStar gave me 14,500 miles between oil changes but I just couldn't stand to go that long, guess I'm just a little old school to think oil can keep its viscosity that long, so I have been changing...

Re: Who's had the harness installed?

Say it ain't so!!! I got mine back Wed. with the new harness installed and so far, it's purring like a kitten. Everything in the drivetrain just seems smoother and ScanGuage is reporting about 1.5...

Re: Who's had the harness installed?

Got mine back today with the new harness and on the ride home The Vue GL seemed to run and shift much smoother (maybe it was because I just got out of a Cobalt rental). I'll check mileage with the...

Re: Who's had the harness installed?

Put mine in this morning for the harness, sticking ignition switch and front end alignment. I've got my fingers crossed the dealership knows what they are doing!!!

Re: First tire dead at under 11,000 miles

The wear on my Generals are hardly nothing at 9k miles. I have had troubles before with having front-end alignments at dealerships! I had my Kia Spectra 5 in 4 times and they kept saying everything...

Re: What Gas Mileage Are You Getting With Your Vue?

No worries!! I guess whoever said it was right "Believe half of what you read and none of what you hear"!! Hope you get that Vue right and start to enjoy some decent MPGs!!

Re: Who's had the harness installed?

Thanx for that reply, Robert!! I'm still on the fence about having this done as my Vue seems to be getting along just fine without it, but.....

Re: What Gas Mileage Are You Getting With Your Vue?

Er...uh....what? I thought maybe I had misread my Owners Manual and so I did as you asked on my 50 mile commute home. The Vue Charged when it was supposed to Charge, Assisted when it was supposed to...

Re: What Gas Mileage Are You Getting With Your Vue?

It's running in Hybrid all the time, whether the Eco light is on or off, some people just don't want to see it. Hopefully you will see some improvement after the new harness is on and the engine and...

Re: What Gas Mileage Are You Getting With Your Vue?

It has been reported here that some of the Vues get horrible mileage. One guy even drove 4 of them before he got one that got good mileage. Follow HybridVues advice and get her in for the new wiring...

Re: Letter from Saturn today...

Thanx for the reply!! It's not real bad, kinda intermittent, I just hate going to the dealer as I work out of town and getting in on a Saturday just about does in the whole day. If it gets worse tho,...

Re: Letter from Saturn today...

Did they say what the fix was for the ignition key?? Mine does it too, sometimes I really have to wrestle with it to get it to switch on.

Re: Letter from Saturn today...

I got mine and will probably wait a week or so be for I contact my dealer just to make sure they have everything in place. I am kinda having second thoughts about having it done too. Mine's working...

Re: What Gas Mileage Are You Getting With Your Vue?

I agree on the ScanGuage mileage, it's fairly accurate, but not just as exact as I'd like. I need to get somebody to ride along and set the MPH with my GPS and I think it would be a little more...

Re: How many of you...

I have mine mounted on the top of the dash, just above the radio and slanted towards me. I can keep an eyeball on it and the road at the same time. And you are probably right about your wife. If...

Re: How many of you...

I agree about the price being a bit much, but IMHO, I think it will pay for itself with the increased MPG I seem to be nursing from my Vue.
