I changed my PTU fluid twice in 103k miles. I just am getting my car back from the shop getting the PTU replaced.

I wish I had read about this post earlier. I am wondering if this was the culprit...

I will check in my manual tomorrow, too cold tonight. It was something like, in Park, Turn key and move something else x times and then DRL is enabled. Or is that the auto dim?

The saleman at my dealer recommended a place and said it would void my warranty. They did not have a problem with it at all.

Hmmm, I think I upgraded choosing the Audiophile system over the Navigation system. I thought it was old and clunky and not to mention way overpriced.

I find the noise to be more from the Econo tires (hard tires are noisy, fact of life I guess) or during a large rpm increase. Neither are bad compared to my old Sportage!

Jim, the battery is NOT heavier!!!!! It's much lighter, please read the links!

Larger capacity does not equate to larger weight or size. It can hold more charge or electricity, in a smaller more...

Well, think of it this way...the capacity increases, it can be quickly recharged, increased power means smaller ICE engine is needed (20hp?) which runs much less since it's only need is to recharge...

I never implied a bigger battery, just a more efficient lighter battery. More capacity relates to the charge it can hold and not the size. Hardifeh's link shows that.

The lithium batteries can also store the most energy per unit volume (or unit >> weight), making them a good choice for hybrids, except for cost.
