Any ideas or pointers to posts covering this issue appreciated. BTW the '06 has 346,000 miles. Love this car.

Simple is good, real good. So the HV has to have some life for the FEH to work as a generator or just hooked up so the computers could access it? In other words what if the HV was toast and home...

Yes it is original. I have a scangauge and monitor SoC and Tav. SoC was typically 52% and held right there pretty constant. It's been somewhat variable in the last year and had re-calibration cycles...

Sorry for the delayed reply. I seem to recall replacing the idler on the FEH but it's not written down in my repair log. Might have been the F150 instead and I dont have the records for it anymore....

We live out of town so any drive to town is half hour to...

Turned 300,000 today. Need about 50,000 more and we can both retire! WooHoo. The FEH should have been named GLC, aka Great Little Car!

There is a actuator in the back that opens and closes a flap associated with the rear fans and cooling the battery. Common issue pretty easy diy fix, cheap.
