Power Take Off Unit

Took the FEH in to the dealer finally, turns out the noise was caused by a failing power take off unit. $900 part plus labor ends up as a mere $1600 fix - ouch!

RPM noise on 2007 FEH

My 07 FEH has 82K miles and hasn't had any issues. Its still performing as always but now makes a noticeable sound that seems to correspond to wheel rpms. It can be heard with and without the ICE...

I mounted my scangauge near the front edge of the dashboard in line with the center of the steering column. I find it easy to monitor the display without diverting my vision too far from the road...

It was on a forum here where this function (warming) was mentioned. If I understood it correctly the jump function doesn't transfer power from the 12v to the HV battery but merely warms the HV...

I understand that activating the button in the footwell of the FEH uses the 12v battery to warm the HV battery, thereby increasing its ability to provide power. Since the optimal battery temp is 82...
