Re: Pics of my new 08 MMH

IMHO the best protection available is Weathertech floor liners, my carpet looks like new even with 2 kids!
They cover the entire floor, and are an exact fit, not a one size fits all deal.
looking...

Re: Sudden change using 'L' shift position

Under the left rear corner of the vehicle there are rather vulnerable a/c lines for the HV battery (I know you said you heard the loud thump from the right rear corner). I would atleast inspect the...

Re: Bolt on performance parts?

"Actually thinking back I think the Gibson might have worked out better. I think it's quieter, and the exhaust comes out of the side behind the rear tire (not the stock location)."

Recently Toyota has recalled a bunch of Prius' for problems. Honda has as well.... so the domestics are not alone in screwing up... they just seem to be alone in being noticed for it.

I hear...

Re: spin on filter conversion

Jason
I am aware of how an engine (hybrid or otherwise) starts and stops. Last week I was watching the local weather report, the morning temp. in Embarrass, MN was -32 deg. below zero. (Ford's...

Re: Bolt on performance parts?

Those extra bends in the Gibson exhaust might be the difference between fitting the hybrid and not fitting the hybrid. I noticed the Gibson says "will fit hybrid" in it's product description, were...

Re: spin on filter conversion

There is one thing a hybrid engine needs vs a non-hybrid engine, is instant oil pressure upon start-up. Most spin-on oil filters are equipped with anti-drain back valve, and some with a pressure...

Re: U-Joints

C.V. joint is an acronynm for constant velocity joint (a u-joint will tend to speed up and slow down every revolution, the greater the working angle the more pronounce the variations in velocity...

Re: U-Joints

The drivetrain of the FEH use c.v. joints not u-joints for both the drive shaft and the axle shafts. The AWD syst. on the FEH looks like the AWD syst. Ford uses on the Jaguar X-Type. I worked as a...

Re: Back windows

The rear door window regulators are different then the ones in the front, they have less travel , this helps keep Jr. in the back seat.

Re: "Service Emission Sys" at 2600 miles!

Re: Engine block heater (41H)

Hey John
You are correct the catalytic converter dosn't have a temp. sensor. This is where the O2 sensors come into the picture, neither the catalyst nor the O2 sensors can function untill they have...
