I seriously doubt that Mobil 1 is engaged in a deceptive practice like this.



Not knocking the Motorcraft Oil but I have several friends that are Ford engineers who recommend Mobil 1.

According to the service manual on the '05 FEH Ford uses a diagnostic computer in the bleeding proceedure. Anyone know if there is a manual way to do this? Or a way to do it a non-Ford diag. tool? ...

I'm glad you got to talk to someone that knows what exactly was done! I was trying to get the service procedure from a friend that works at Ford but I won't bug him anymore since you found the info.

Confirmed! My service order shows that they replaced part 7M6Z*14A303*B not sure why the *s are there but the part number matches!

I think that they went into the battery but the evidence is circumstantial because when I tried to find out exactly what was done I could not talk to the mechanic that did the service and the service...

I Agree. This is what most other auto companies would call a "Voluntary Recall". I guess Ford did not want to use the R word.

I took my FEH in this morning and the service order reads "07B48 SERVICE HARNESS INSTALLATION". I don't have the my FEH back yet but I'll ask what exactly was done when I pick it up the afternoon.
