How many miles on your original HCH-II IMA battery?
I'm putting about 28,000 miles a year on my 2008 model. Around 44,000 miles in 18 month thanks to a very long commute to work each day. Have not had one problem yet. Not a single hiccup. Wondering about how long the IMA battery will last on average. I know the warranty of 80,000 for where i live, but wanted real life examples.

5,500 on mine over the past 6 months. Have had battery recalibrations every 2-3 days on average since taking delivery at 57 miles. Hopefully either a fixable software issue or a faulty battery replaced under warranty.

My beautiful baby batteries just turned 3K miles.

I am at 105k miles on the original battery. I also had a long commute for the majority of these miles. 35 miles one-way. I've since changed to a 5 mile commute and consequently use the battery assist a lot more than I used to.

My last HCH had over 140K on it and it ran perfectly
My new one (the old one was totaled :-( ) has over 90,000 and runs well and if anything, not as well as the one with more miles on it.

I have an '06 with 45K miles. I get battery crashes within a mile of driving after the car sits for more than 12 hours. Battery was super for the first 30K, but since Summer '08 it's been getting steadily worse.
I'm no longer a believer in NiMh technology. They don't last long in my laptop and now my car.

The results on the Honda hybrids at http://avt.inl.gov/hev.shtml might be interesting to the OP.
I just noticed that the 2010 Prius, FFH and Insights were added to the fleet. Also, the two NAHs hit 160K miles (but their components should be the same/similar to what go in Toyota hybrids, most likely the HyCam).
