Default Blend Door Repair and Scan Gauge

Recently the wrench light came on in my '06 and the code on the scan gauge indicated blend door actuator. Brought it in and they repaired the actuator and according to the paperwork also "reprogrammed the TBCM".

Now, the scan gauge is indicating two battery module trouble codes "2BTC". But, the DTC field is blank. It used to either give the code "9239" for example or read all zeroes. I rechecked the settings and it is correct. I also checked and it works fine in my '05. Shows 0BTC and 0000DTC.

Also, if I change the settings and check the other trouble codes it shows one code on the dash module but won't give the code for that one either.

Any thoughts? Does something change in the reprogramming of the TBCM that makes the scan gauges code reading not work? All of the other gauges seem to still be working fine.

Thanks for the help.

I'd try clearing codes and waiting to see if any pop up again.

I forgot to mention also that when I use the "SCAN" feature, it comes up with no codes found but will sometimes say not ready, even when I have been driving for a while. Will using the clear codes option under SCAN clear all the codes, including any TBCM codes?

I reset the codes on the scan gauge but the two BTC codes are still showing and still no readout on the DTC screen. Thinking of just disconnecting the battery and seeing if that helps any unless anyone has any more suggestions or has seen this situation before.

Anyone?

Thanks

According to the thread on this, you have to use a different xgauge if you have more than 1 code. Or at least you have to change some things in the xgauge code.

"If the BTC for the TBCM shows a non-zero number, then you retrieve the DTC with the following xgauge:

TXD: 07451800FF00
RXF: 045810000000
RXD: 2810
Mth : 000100010000
NAM: DTC

The DTCs will be coded per OBD-II specs. Again, for different modules change the first four digits of TXD to the number shown above for that module.

If you get a non-zero display, the first digit can be decoded as follows:

0 - P0
1 - P1
2 - P2
3 - P3
4 - C0
5 - C1
6 - C2
7 - C3
8 - B0
9 - B1
A - B2
B - B3
C - U0
D - U1
E - U2
F - U3

So if you see 9239 displayed, the DTC is B1239. If two or more DTCs are present, the RXF changes to 055810000 and RXD changes to 3010 and you can only retrieve the first one and the first half of the second one."

Thanks Ted.

I was able to pull one code at least - 2591 (P2591) which according to my searches is a cruise control related code. I wasn't able to get anything else.

But, since the car still has extended warranty remaining, it goes back to the dealer. These scan gauges must really **** off the service departments. :-)
