Check out our Hybrid Car Expo/Meetup on Sat, July 14 at Ryerson Woods Conservation Area (located near Deerfield, IL on Riverwoods Rd.) We will have lots of hybrids to test drive. Owch! Huntsville to Deerfield, 607 miles, one tank but 10 hours of driving.

Although I live out in Schaumburg right now, my family is still up in Deerfield; I will be coming back from DC the night before, so I don't want to promise that I'll be there with my 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid, but I will make every effort to do so. Hopefully we'll see you then!

We had 1 Classic, 2 Ford Escapes and 12 Gen2 Prius throughout the day exhibiting and talking to interested people. Mike from Argonne Labs gave an interesting talk, besides driving up in a Honda Insight. And it was nice to see the dealers out there giving test rides in a Prius, Camry and Escape hybrids-even if we had to correct some misconceptions after those test drives.
