DFW Area Meet 2/24/08 @ 11:00 a.m.
It's official.:D The first DFW area Insight gathering has been scheduled for this Sudnay, February 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Currently, only 2 of us have committed but I'm hoping a few of you that are in the area will be able to join us.
We are meeting at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse located at 2609 S. Stemmons Fwy., Lewisville, TX 75067 (972) 459-9700. The plan is to park behind the Restaurant as that parking lot should be wide open. We will be hanging by the cars and swapping stories so feel free to join us even if you don't have time for drinks and/or lunch a little later if desired by the participants. All are welcome, even if you do not drive an Insight. I'm sure the discussion will focus on Insights, other hybrids, EVs or just increasing MPG. |

Thank you to those that made the meet all though it was quite short notice. It was a pleasure meeting each of you and I enjoyed placing real names and faces with familiar user names.
Those in attendance were Delta Flyer, JohnC73, Dixonge and Atlaw4u, accompanied by 2 Insights, 1 HCHII and one hypermilinig Hyundai. Special thanks to Delta Flyer for the MIMA show & tell. I think a good time was had by all that attended. I know I appreciated the opportunity to get together with a small group with a lively discussion focused around hypermiling and the associated technology. One topic was a future meet on April 12 at the Plano Live Green Expo. Details will follow. I'm definitely looking forward to future meets. Pictures to follow. |

Do you think that you could give more than 2 days notice next time? I did not see this post until tonight and I would have loved to have come.

Mark your calendar. The next proposed meet is April 12 for the Plano Live Green expo. We will have to work out the details of time and where to meet.
