Default 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid (on Japanese site)?

Ok, so check this out.
The rims are nice but can't find anything else that is different.

Ok, I'm confused . The video says the 07 is getting 31 km/l. If I am calculating this right thats about 75 mpg. If that's the case I want one.

WOW. yeah 73MPG after you convert to gallons. I wonder if the US is gonna get the same version. Front lights look a tiny bit different and same w/the back taillights. Again this might just be an Asian version.

Japanese fuel economy estimates are based on a completely different test procedure from what the EPA uses. It tends to generate numbers even higher than what we already consider to be optimistic. That 73mpg figure should not be used for comparison, as it does not reflect a different version of the car (except for some small tweaks to the emissions system, perhaps).

If you notice the car they show first has the same wheels as the US HCH, then later they show another version with a different of the car that has the different wheels. They have two trim levels of Civic Hybrid from what I can tell.

If you put in honda.co.jp in this page: http://babelfish.yahoo.com/
It will give you a decent enough translation to navigate the site.

according to the website, they have 3 trims for japanese market. MX, MXB and MXST.
MX is current 06 HCH and MXB is slight improved version of MX. MXB is a bit wider, lighter and less thirsty.
MXST is sports version of HCH. It's a bit heavier and thirstier than other models of HCH, but it has ABS on every wheel and wider tyre as well. (205/55R16 89V)
The one with different lights and wheels seen on honda ad is MXST.
I hope that they'll bring MXST down to aussie market, too.

* pictures of interior / exterior of MSXT attached.
