FEH 2006 RPM issue
Hi guys,
I need some of your input that has helped me so much in the past! It’s my FEH 06 171,000 miles. It has been hot and humid in So. Cal. My RPMs are running a little higher than normal even for the hot weather. It has increased from low 3000 to almost 4000 when I'm pushing 70-80 MPH or trying to get a jump! I know I should slow down but I can’t. My MPG is down just a little from 29 to 28.5 and I know that’s not what you guys get but that’s my lead foot and that may just be the heat and running my air. It’s running in EV mode fine. No codes or warnings. I know in regular cars this is a tranny problem is that the same for the hybrids? Should I take it to the dealership, they are quacks!? Should I take in in the regular shop for a tranny flush or can we even do that with the hybrid? Any other ideas what may be up?
Thanks

Re: FEH 2006 RPM issue
Have you noticed the charging status when you're experiencing the higher RPM's? If the battery is pulling a bit of charging power that would explain it. It seems like you would notice more of a hit to your mileage if your battery was ailing or in need of a calibration.
