2003 HCH CVT 180K

The IMA is bad. When I reset the error, it comes right back on. P1600 and another ... research in the threads states bad IMA.

I found an entire unit on CRAIGSLIST for $300. The lister states it causes errors - but suggests to take sticks from it and use them to repair yours...

So, these sticks, can you troubleshoot them? Is there a known procedure, or a test unit?

Seems logical if I find good sticks to install them and whalla...or is it not that simple.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I need to fix this thing.

Maybe a moderator could get this post moved over to the Civic Hybrid forums. . .

I don't know if I'd be man enough to risk the time or money to try this--seems like a real long shot. Perhaps others have done this.
