Yes. Quarterly grid charging will minimize imbalance. I would go with the battery supplier's recommendation.

And after it is replaced the lights will be reset and go off on their own or it needs to be reset by some equipment? In case I find a way to do it myself or by a friend.

As a safety measure, one should disconnect the 12V battery when working on the IMA system. The 12V disconnect will reset the codes and force an initial recalibration when the IMA battery is installed. If the battery was the cause if the IMA/check engine light, then it should be reset and stay off.

Good choice. Go with their recommendation on a grid charger.

So when I was stopped and there was no load on the system (AC, lights, etc were off), the engine didn't go on autostop. I guess that should be a sign in favor of IMA battery problem?
Missed this earlier. A couple dozen criteria have to be met before auto stop will function. Pretty sure an IMA indicator light disables auto-stop to minimize load on the battery.

Good to know. So your last post tempted me to learn how to take out the back seats (my main reason for hesitating so far to do the replacement myself), get one of those grid chargers to do it myself and see what happens

Thanks again. I may have more questions when I start doing it!

Keith is there a reference manual or something close to that regarding the workings of the IMA system that I can read before getting too deep into this?

Not to my knowledge. All my experience is with the Civic Hybrid. I recommend you engage in Google-Fu.
