I'm looking at purchasing a previously enjoyed Highlander Hybrid, 2009, with 120,000 km. My 2006 Escape Hybrid has bitten the dust...
I just wanted to check with the community to see if there's anything I should keep an eye out for? Perhaps some typical issues or things that come up?
Pretty much any thoughts in general would be welcome!
Thanks!

Few simple items I would look at:
*Steering play (jack up each side and check tires, tie rods, ball joints, etc)
*Roll underneath chassis and look for any areas that might be leaking oil (esp engine/trans/diffs)
*Check for OBD codes (hook up to the ECM and read any codes that might be stored)
*AVR Load test the 12V battery
*Check the brakes (both on road test and visually)
*Check rear hatch for rust (tends to rust under door trim)
*Test drive vehicle for at least 200 kms to get an idea of fuel economy (and hybrid battery health)
*Use VIN to get service history at Toyota (should show any past issues with the vehicle)
