Default 2009 Plasma Cluster Not Working

Displays nothing, controls not functioning. Car was unused for a long time (months). Kept battery charged (slow charge - battery keeper). Car starts and runs, but no AC, heater, blower or outside temperature display. Everything else seems to work OK. Checked all AC fuses. Am I missing a fuse that powers plasma cluster?

Very, very low mileage for a 2009 (less than 50K).

Try checking position 32 in the fuse block under the hood (labeled HTR with a 50 amp fuse)

OK, got it to work (somewhat). First, it never displayed anything. Powered OFF and back ON - it displayed & worked for a few seconds. Powered OFF and back ON - displayed and worked a little longer. Kept doing this and it started working longer. Now, just came back from an errand and it worked all the way. Don't know what causes this, but I'm guessing that I need to use my car more often to prevent this kind of failure.

You must live in a COLD climate for that to happen. The display can get a little squirrelly if they have a long cold soak.

Nope, I'm in Hawaii. I think it isn't a display/control problem. It is more like a problem with the AC system or AC compressor relay. Seems if the AC is not working, the climate control won't work. I guess if the car isn't used for a while, the AC sensors/relays get affected. Sorry, but not very dependable for a Toyota product. Well, it is working for now.

That's a bummer! At least you got it working for now... They "don't make them like they used too", thats for sure!

BTW... The control display is just a plain old LCD display. Nothing at all special about it.

"Plasmacluster" refers to the air purifier located in the drivers air conditioning vent. Something about Positive and Negative Ion's or some gibberish. I remember reading that somewhere in the owners manual when I bought ours.

Where you able to sort out this problem? Please I'd appreciate an urgent response, as I'm having similar problems here.
Thanks
