Default Advise requested, "Low Engine Oil Pressure" MIL

Hello,
2007 Camry Hybrid.
I received a Master Indicator Light (MIL) (Red Triangle with Exclamation) and the message "Low Engine Oil Pressure".
I drove into a parking lot and while locating a parking spot the error cleared (no Triangle, no text message).
I brought it to the dealer 30 minutes later and they said "No Codes in the computer error log". They don't know what the problem was if any.
So I need some advise.
Do I have an oil pressure problem? If yes, why was it not logged?
Do I have a computer problem of some sort that raised a nonexistant error warning? Since there really was not error there was nothing to log?
Sun spots?
I thought maybe a scan guage might track the oil pressure but on second thought the oil pressure of zero is perfectly normal for a hybrid as long as the engine is not running.
Any thoughts/advise appreciated.
J

check your oil level, if it's low then it will cause that MIL, otherwise it's just a fluke on the computer.

Oil level is fine. It was the first thing they checked.
So does the fact that a MIL was raised without a matching code being written mean something is wrong with the system?

An oil-pressure reading out-of-spec means one of two things. Either the oil pressure is low, or the oil pressure sensor is having an electrical problem. Either can be transient.

I would get a fresh oil change, and wiggle the wire on the oil-pressure sensor. Many electrical problems are caused by corrosion in the connections. Wiggling the connection abrades the corrosion.

I do not know why a code would be displayed the operator without also being recorded. That does seem strange.

Thank you.
Can someone give me a hint as to where the oil pressure sensor is located?

ask your dealer if they did a pressure check or you can do it yourself. yep an oil and filter change will at least relieve you of worries.

Dealer checked the pressure and said it was fine.
Thanks all.

Camry in an unusual attitude just prior to indication, or FAST/TIGHT low speed turn and sump oil "sloshed" to one side..?

To conserve energy many new cars are now using a variable displacement engine lubricating oil pump. If the Camry hybrid is making use of that technique the displacement control may have stuck in a low volume position briefly

In this case the road was straight and level.
I was below 40 mph but don't know/remember if I was in
EV mode or not prior to the event.
When the low oil pressure indicator came on
I believe the engine was actually running but may have
just come out of EV mode but I am not sure of that.
I think when (if ever) I get an answer to why/how I got the error
indicator but it wasn't logged an actual cause can be determined.
Tnx,
J

[2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid w/ 75K] I just had a similar incident for the first time. Driving 25mph on straight, level road in EV mode the 'low engine pressure' triangle lit up and the chime rang once a second before the engine kicked in. Since the alarm occurred while the engine was still off, I am chalking it up to a fluke. Oil was recently changed and is still showing full. The alarm has not occurred while the engine was actually running.
