Default Aftermarket Wheels and Tires

Just purchased a 17 Camry LE hybrid really love it but it needs some love as apposed to the stock 16in wheels. I've done a little research, I'd like to do 18in Tires and Rims a Michelin green tire with a little more sidewall if possible. My question is would a tire and wheel upgrade affect the braking regen or overall performance of the vehicle other than maybe a MPG decrease.
