Default Gas Price Jump

I know that oil went up from $58 to $62 a barrel over the last few days. I saw here in town that two Chevrons and one Texaco (same gas) jumped from $2.39 to $2.59 overnight. No doubt the oil companies are taking advantage of the Memorial Day weekend. I will keep buying from our local top tier Phillips 66 station at $2.39 as long as stay lower priced. (Phillips 66, Conoco and 76) are the same gasoline's.

It's best to find a quality gas station within a half mile or so of some cheap discounter (mom & pop) gas station.

Who's guess what the price will be by July 4th.
Try using a top tier gasoline to keep your injectors and valves clean. Choose the link, Retailers on the site below.

This is a easy way to compare your local gas stations.

On this site below, type in your zip code, click Go. Page down for the list of stations and prices.

Everything I read suggests the prices will continue to rise until after the July 4th heavy travel week, then they will begin to drop back down. It just never seems to drop back down to old levels - always inches up a notch.

I'm buying half as much as before (FFH), but I still don't like it.

I also bought half as much gas back when I bought the '81 VW Diesel. It was small and noisy, but got great gas mileage.

The same thing happened with this nice and roomy TCH. It's nice to have such a great car capable of the same high gas mileage that the little diesel used to get.
