I think I screwed up my 2007 TCH - 12v Battery and Starting
So I changed my battery and was trying to troubleshoot another issue. I had the car running (Couldn't hear it of coarse) and I disconnected the battery. After reconnecting the battery the dashboard lights up with numerous warning lights but the car will not start. Any help? Please help.
When I press the brake the push start button turns green signaling that it is ready to start. I cannot turn off the dashboard at all. If I leave the car the 12v battery will stay on.

Disconnect the battery and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Connect the battery and put foot on the brake and start car.
If the car doesn't work right.
Open and close any of the doors.
Then restart the hybrid system.
If this doesn't work, you will need a scan tool to see what is going on..

Like I said in other post.
All please listen:
got to have 12v back power supply when you are changing 12v battery.
Otherwise, Toyota predicts multiple warning lights after 12V battery swap. Toyota recommends to power cycle system 3 times in a row, by shutting it down completely and turning back on to "READY" . This should clear all the lights.
Now, that you have not had it done, who knows what is going on. I say tow her to dealer and pay them for system reflash with your year software.

ukrkoz... I have changed several and never have used a backup power supply. Just cranked them back up like normal except for one that was cleared as noted above. The "open and close door" instruction is actually in the factory manual for this situation.

I know. But see, OP is actually not the first one to step into this trouble. About 2 years back we had someone at toyotanation with TCH going berserk after such simple install. I was told many times "I had it done". But now we have TWO owners that didn't - and you see the results. I think, for the sake of potential immense repair costs, it is well feasible to have a 12V back up connected for 10 or so minutes. I did. Was real no big deal. Only adverse effect was that even with that, she still lost my long term mpg data.
I guess, it depends on ones karma. And no one wants to be The Chosen One.
