Default Tinting of the rear window

My TCH was the first car I ever had tinted "aftermarket" and I do have a question. At night, when I look in the rear view mirror, or just look behind, all the headlights are not a single glow, but a series of "reflections" going up and down from the original point.

So my question is, is this normal for aftermarket tints to have this "distraction"? I believe each series is based on the nav, am, fm, defroster lines in the back window.

Oh, I have a huber optiks ceramic tint.

Thanks!

I have the same tint and have noticed the same effect. My previous car did not have tint so no basis for comparison.

could it be because it's a ceramic tint?

I get a single up and down line of line visible in the rear view mirror at night. I have SolarGard 50% tint. Other than that, I am not happy with the film because twice now it has "ripped" on a small piece of dust under the driver side from opening and closing the window.

My co-worker says it's from the polarization in the tint. I can't vouch for whether it's true or not, but it sounds good.
