They LOVE simple repetitive services like oil changes. It is a quick profit for the service dept, and they may find (or possibly fabricate) other things you may need while your car is captured in THEIR service bay.
I agree. I'm not aware of a non-synthetic 0W20 - except for maybe, say, from Honda? Sure - they tell you synth is no good and that leaves you one choice - go to Honda, or put up with 5W20 from any lube place. I'd believe your owners manual over any dealership. BTW, I've used 0W20 synthetic for about a year now with no problems.

I also agree. If you use synthetic then you would have to buy it from some one else.
If you use "dino" oil, the you would have to buy it from Honda.
Do the math!

I've used Mobil 1 0w20 in my HCH I since day one. I'm over 115,000 miles on her right now and she runs like day one.

I get my oil changed at the dealer and they use synthetic oil and always have. They say that is why is costs so much more for an oil change.

My dealer still reccommends 3000 mile oil change interval, even though the manual clearly states 5000 to 10,000 miles. They're just trying to make extra money. Remember too, people at the dealer are just people, they're not necessarily experts, and they may just be telling you something they heard somewhere or something their manager makes them say to sell more of their own oil.

Thats funny. Honda now has a syn. manual transmission fluid now. Ive ran M1 0w-20 and 5w-20 in my Civic and Accord since new.
