Wiper blade sizes
I just bought new wiper blades for my 04HCH by using the lookup-book at Target. They said 19" for passenger and 24" for driver side. The 19 matches the old one, but it looks like my driver side had a 21 on it before. The 24 seems to work fine, and it covers the glass to the limit on both ends without hanging over, but I still wonder what the official size is supposed to be.

Hmmm, I just looked it up at tire rack, and they say 21 for the driver side. Maybe the book at Target was whacked, or maybe I just read it wrong. Looks like the 24 will still work anyway. Oh well.

Ok, I went back to target and confirmed that their book does say 24", but I traded it in for a 21 and it is a better fit. I don't know why the spec such a long one in that book, but I think it's wrong.
Perhaps this will be a solo thread... Sorry to waste space on a conversation with myself. :-)

Would be nice to know what the OEM sizes are as I ran into the same problem. I just replaced mine and what I bought are 21/19. The 21 is clearly smaller than what I had previously and the 19 looks like it kind of hangs over the outboard side of the windshield.
Not to mention that whatever I bought seems to pretty much work worse than the older blades I replaced. I'll be trying to return them tonight, but wanted to double check the sizing. The larger blade I had previously was likely the 24 and definitely covered more glass.

The correct refill sizes are metric:
