How do you replace the 3rd brake light bulb?
It seems like you have to take the rear shelf apart. I tried pulling the plug but the bulb is not there. the dealer was going to charge me $20.00 to change the stupid bulb. the bulb only cost $1.29 at kragen. is there an easier way?

If he's ONLY charging $20, it can't be too difficult. Where's a technical manual? Are you sure it's NOT in the back of OUR owner's manuals? There ARE a lot of lamp-changing descriptions and illustrations back there. I don't remember reading about the 3rd brake light lamp, though.
EDIT: I just looked and I do NOT see instructions for this in the owners manual. Darn.

yeah, the bulbs are led. so it isn't as simple as changing a halogen bulb. these should last a long time since they are leds. they should be pretty expensive if you need to replace.
