Tigerdirect? You linked another newegg item...

I realize that's cheaper, but compatibility with the cheap units can come into question. I have two of the prior linked units and feel they're worth the few $ extra.

I did a little research, and Dash Command:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dash...321293183?mt=8

sounds like it has similar functionality to Torque.

Personally, I think you should find a used android, install Torque Pro and use it as a mini-tablet in the car for real-time action!

I may do some more shopping...yes, I mixed up newegg and tigerdirect.

I really don't want to go out there and get an Android, will do some more looking for decent unit that works with iPhone and/or Mac....aren't there even some machines that just have their own LED readout?

I think the unit I linked will work with the iTunes app, but since the one you linked indicates wifi compatibility with iOS products, that and Dash command might be a better option. Yes, there are ones that have their own readout, but they cost much more, and provide less information.

The ELM units and software written for them can provide so much more information and have the benefit of directly linking to web resources when troubleshooting error codes...

There are but they are diagnostics machine that cost $500+ (I used my uncle's).

Try all the apps (start with free?) that can read OBD-II via bluetooth.

I have the device S Keith has.

I'm in need of some advice, i have a 2009 honda civic hybrid, still under 70,000 miles. For the past 5 mo. The ima light and battery light have been on, we replaced the simple battery And the lights are still on. Now my car is completely dead we tried to jump it, there is no clicking, no dashboard lights, nothing. Could it be that the ima needs replaced and how can i get it replaced under the warranty without it costing me 3,000$

You mean you replace the 12v battery?

The basic one that every car has, not the big IMA one.

First check if the connection is good.

The IMA can be dead and you can still start the car.

2 days ago it was snowy and cold, the car wouldn't start. I asked someone to help me jump start it, at the first time it started up but with the steering wheel light was on. Then they tried to jump it again they saw a spark off the battery and then the car died completely. We took the battery to get it tested and they said the battery was fine and fully charged but my car won't start at all anymore. No click, and no lights at all.

Sounds like you have to take it to a repair place.

Sparks are normal when connecting the ground to a metal.
