Default Loud Valves 140k?

Recently purchased a 2007 HCH, valves seem very loud to me so I adjusted them to spec and it didnt get any better. Before I go to to the dealer was wondering if anyone had ideas. The ticking is only when ur on the accelerator and gets worse as you get higher in the rpms, so like on the highway when you let off the noise goes away. No CEL and the car runs great other than the noise.

Are you confident it's valve noise? Valve noise happens all the time, even at cruise or idle.

Does it sound at all like light pinging? If you think it might sound like pinging, a clogged EGR plate can do that. Pull the EGR plate and unclog the ports.

Definitely more of a tick than a ping, sounds like valvetrain noise, the weird thing is it doesn't do it at idle only under load. I cleaned the EGR over the weekend

I just got done doing this, was on the to-do list for a while, saw your picture a few days back, but other than noticing how much cleaner my car looked than yours (was gonna comment at the time that you must live in the north, salt grime and all that) didn't really study the pic

Was surprised to find the 4 holes under all the carbon
