Part of me is getting itchy to put 0w-20 in my car as I've had it for 8 months now and havn't changed the original oil yet, but I'm still at 50% with 6000 miles. The other part of me is glad that I havn't had to pay for an oil change yet! I still havn't decided at which point I will go ahead and do the change. I will wait at least until 15%. I hear so many different people's opinions...

Keep the factory fill in the car until you get to 0% or 10K miles.

The first fill is cleaning out the remainder of the foundry casting material in the block, and honing surfaces.

On your second fill switch to synthetic. The engine will get better and so will mileage if you do this.

Here is copy of the oil analysis I had done on my HCHII after its first change. There is no problem in going 10K on the initial fill oil.

Default Orient express-Values same as location average?

Orient Express,I must be mis-reading your oil analysis. It seems to show that your "elements" are Exactly the same as the location average?
I must be missing something,right?
Thanks,
Charlie

Since this was the first oil sample on this car the average was based on a sample of 1. As I add more sample analysis (oil changes) to this record the average will change. What is important at this time is to compare the sample results with the universal averages.

Thanks,
Charlie
