I have a 2007 Honda civic with a replacement battery from Honda dealer in Springfield Illinois. We drove the car with a new battery approximately two months and the transmission went bad . I pulled all the electronics boxes and INA battery out and put it on the shelf and junked the car. I have receipts from the dealer . Whats its value to you with 12volt inverter and other modules i removed.

Just measured this newer IMA 158.4 Volt at 167volts after it has sat in shelf for months.
Still fully charged.
How long can these sit and maintain a full charge?

Zero seconds.

1) The pack is NEVER fully charged in the car.
2) ALL rechargeable batteries have a measurable self-discharge rate. The higher the charge, the faster the rate.

167V resting is actually at a fairly low state of charge.

158V is the voltage upon which calculations are based. Any NiMH battery that is actually at its nominal voltage at rest is fully discharged.

First, the fact that your pack has stayed ABOVE nominal after months of storage is a very good sign that your pack is in reasonably good health.

Additionally, you should check the voltage taps and see how close those are to each other.

The picture is accurate if you're checking the back side of the connector where the wires come into it from the pack.

Lastly, if that pack is ever installed again, it should be charged first with a LPC-100-500 LED power supply for 16 hours with a box fan blowing through it for cooling.
