Can any of you recommend repairs for the hybrid battery pack? I haven't found a good hybrid shop that actually is knowledgeable of the Tahoe Hybrid! I would prefer to get the battery refurbished if cheaper or know of a place to purchase new for less!

That's almost the same price as greenbeanhybrid.com's INSTALLED, out the door price. The prices aren't the same as they were 5 years ago...

 

A new replacement battery should last comparable to the original - let's say 8-10 years and 100K miles.

The MOST you can reasonably expect from a reconditioned battery is 3-4 years, and that's if great care was done in the work.

It's already been established that you can't get a battery for the shipped price of $2190. No dealer or online part supplier will sell/ship one. You are stuck with MSRP or any concession of a local dealer.

If your goal is to minimize cost and pass the problem to another owner, then that's your prerogative. Buy whatever.

If your goal is long term ownership, you should plan on the cost/inconvenience of 2-3 replacement batteries. Furthermore, the greenbeanhybrid warranty is ****. It's prorated after 18 month. For the price of the greenbean battery, it should last at least 5-6 years with no additional failures or expenses to represent the same value. The chances of that happening are ZERO unless they happen to be selling you a very low mileage original battery from a salvage yard.
