Replacing Grill Bowtie with Billet

Replacing Grill Bowtie with Billet
I wonder if anyone has experience in replacing the OEM plastic grill bowtie, with a billet replacement?
Its a squeeze to get in behind the logo, but not impossible, and I can remove the two nuts holding the studs, but there appears to be a third central stud. I can only feel it as its impossible to see. As the grill and front fender are all one piece there is not much room to do anything, and I don't want to pull too hard in case I rip the 'chrome' trim off too.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
All the best
