A re-do of the 2 Mode would have been nice. Let's say a Lithium Ion battery mounted somewhere like under a console to allow those cool captain's chairs in middle row.

Some shared high dollar parts with a car like the Volt to cut costs.

Let's see if the new Esky can get the fuel economy of the old 2 Mode.

I doubt it will. But it will surely increase the governor by 10mph. But on serious note they missed out on the niche market of hybrid that wants more than just priuses, bolt or volt or tesla. Well if the time comes then I might trade it back for another hybrid

Can't GM retool the two mode to the new body style? You know same mechanical pieces different body?

Just Curious, what does a dealer give for a 2009 Hybrid Escalade with 200K? My experience is factory dealers are reluctant to take vehicles with over 100K, I can't imagine they would even keep a vehicle with 200K on their lot, probably will go straight to the auction .

Anything over 100k miles is a hard sell. Imagine one with close to 200k miles. Even at 100k miles, my premium dealer in AR says it's pretty much hard hybrid or not. I ask them if dealer records of mobil 1 synthetic and onstar maintenance records count? Nope it's all about numbers. They don't care whether it was babied or not as long as the miles are low. They did a nationwide search of all 2009 escalade hybrid and the closest was 133k and dealer price was $25k. Either it is a platinum or overpricing. Most comparison hybrids range from $18k to $22k with various miles. One dealer started to give me a trade value of $14k, another $12k. After some bargaining I was able to go up to $15k. Then one dealer promised to give me $17k if I place an order. That's when it became interesting, since all the low ballers raised their offer to $17k if I purchase their vehicle. But I saw a newly delivered platinum and he too initially offered $15k but agreed to $17k and they gave me a $6019.00 supplier discount, hence the purchase!

Finally picked up the platinum. It's an upgrade and looks beautiful but the old design is a classic in its own right. It was sad to see "Evo lives" go

What were your main reasons for trading it in? Were you getting concerned about the higher mileage? I have looked at the new ones, and yes they are nice(and new) but not like "Wow, gotta have" nicer.

PS, I can't imagine living anywhere where it snows-lol, I don't even drive my Tahoe when it rains, I have probably driven it less than 6 times in the rain.(I have a rainy day car).
