Consumers will not understand until they own one. Have you tried taking it on long trips? You can be idling in the rest stop for an hour and not notice a difference in mileage because it cycles ICE and EV or autostop.

I think they should of marketed a stripped down hybrid tahoe model to law enforcement. Think of how much gas and money that would of saved.

I am really shocked about this. The government actually did something smart for a change? I think they should be using hybrids for at least 50% of their fleet

It can't be used for LEO though because it is governed at 99mph.

That's just disappointing. I'll miss the ICE and EV cycling and even if I'm parked and idling for hours, it barely use any fuel.

Hmmm, I own a 2013 Yukon Denali Hybrid and I not only care about the environment, but I do more than my share to improve the environment; someone will have to explain to me how owning a large Hybrid means I don't care...

Before this Hybrid, I have owned Yukon Denalis, Tahoes and Suburbans before that. One big reason I think the Hybrid models didn't sell is because people had no idea they existed, myself included. When I found out, I rushed to buy one before they were all gone. To date I have not seen another in my area of Washington state, and people see mine and can't believe it is really a hybrid. A marketing plan might have been a good idea to help sales.

Already put just shy of 30K on my 2013 in it's first year, and I love this vehicle; especially since it pulls my boat anywhere I want it to.
