Default Yukon Hybrid Fog light addition

I have a 2009 Yukon Hybrid and I also agree the headlights are wimpy. I hit my second deer in 6 weeks. Thinking about upgrading to the DDM 55Watt HID Hi/Low set up, but also would like some wider lights to see the horny creatures while they are on the shoulder. My dealer says no way, no add on's no accessories, they refuse to install some PIAA units (I bought from them!) Has anyone installed a set? Zone office tells me APM is not sized for accessories and the "sophisticated" architecture is a problem. Seems the new Denali Hybrid and the Escalade can have them. Any thoughts?

Default additional lighting ie easy

find a place to mount them (mine are behind the grill} and do it yourself. its for all intents and purposes a simple 12 v style installation. you use the 12v side of the car not the 300v...

Jet. Can you post a picture on the GMC install? The Chevy has big open slots. How do they work?

Default here you go...

Several times a year my car is on the runway around high performance jet and WWII aircraft. to that end I needed to plumb in a light bar and front and rear flashers as it is used as an emergency response vehicle. I connected to the 12 v with an 8 gauge wire and then ran it into the cockpit. it is fused {just go to one of those stores that sells the stereos that are apparently designed to deafen everyone in sight and rattle the trunk lids}. I also set it all up to be plug and play removable as i don't really need the light bar all the time. here are 4 pics....extra points awarded if you correctly identify the light mounting brackets in the grille!

please excuse the dirty car, I just got back from europe and arrived to a snow storm!

Do the HID's first. You may not want/need anymore light.
Easy and inexpensive.

Thanks I know, stay away from the orange wires. I'm sure there is a post in the fuseblock to tap. Thanks, we'll give it a try.

I saw a tahoe hybrid at rockville pike (md) with what look like piaa lights installed on those black squares at the front bumper.

That is the spot I was looking at. Seems perfect. and the size and scale works. I was also facinated by the GMX322 unlock device. That is really cool. I think that will be my next project after the lighting upgrade. Thanks for the heads up, I'll post some photos after the upgrade.

Default GM can void your warranty RE lockpic....

there is a GM circular out on this and its vaguely written and as such gives them the right to void the entire warranty on your car....be advised

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not into a big risk as I'm sure the hybrid system could be a money pit if there was a big problem.

BTW, my son just won a slot as a Naval Aviator, he'll be graduating this May. (NROTC)
